Shore walk
Why not try a walk along the shoreline, to look for beautiful shells and stones? Lifting the stones along the water's edge reveals a whole new world of small creatures. Seaweed types and marine plants are also interesting things to study.
Shore walking is an exciting activity that is ideal for the whole family.
We can provide you with some wood to take along, to make a fire on the shore, to make a grilled lunch. We can give you advice about the best places to go.In the spring (April/May), you will probably see the reindeer down on the shore. They come down from the mountainsides to lick the salt fom the rocks and to eat fresh grass after a long winter up on the mountain.
Tromsø Natur & Fritid also has several lavvos (Sámi tents) that can be hired for overnight stays, catering and activities etc.
