Boat rental (April - September)

Seafishing Norway are responsible for the boatrental here at Lauklines, but we take care of the booking. Sea Fishing Norway have 10 Øien 530F boats with steering consoles/windscreens and 40 HP Yamaha EFI 4 stroke engines with powertrim/tilt (see images below). The boats are equipped with Lowrance HDS 5 echo sounders /GPS plotters with colour screens. Click here the get a brief introduction so you are prepared before arrival.

The Øien 530F is a very stable and roomy self-bailing boat with a relatively deep keel. The deep keel means that the boat does not drift excessively. It is therefore suitable both for families and groups of friends out on the fjord and for sports fishermen.

On hiring the boat they will take you through the operating functions of the boat itself, operation of the echo sounder, review the sea charts and inform of safety routines.

Laminated sea charts, lifevests, gaff, landing net, 2 fish boxes, bucket, safety box (various pieces of equipment) are all included in the hire charge. In addition you will get  2 x 25 litre tanks of fuel. They will also ensure that the fuel tanks are filled if you need more. Fuel is paid for according to the number of litres used during your hire period, when the boat is returned.

If required, sea fishing rods and flotation suits can be hired from service center here at Lauklines.

On hiring the boat you will need to bring with you:

• Approved ID
• Boat skipper licence for those born after 1980
  
• Completed, signed hire contract, also safety and liability form.
  
• Credit card (Visa/Mastercard). They will reserve an amount on your card corresponding to any excess payment in the event of damage. Self risk is max 10.000 NOK.
